By using the mupla website, you agree to these terms. They're written in plain language, please ask if anything is unclear.
Our promise in plain language
We've tried to write these terms the way we'd explain them to a neighbor. Three things to know up front:
- This site is a public-facing resource for the mupla community. Most of what you do here, read posts, sign up for events, fill out a form, is straightforward. These terms cover the small set of cases where things might go wrong.
- Your privacy is covered separately on our Privacy policy. When something feels like a privacy question, that page wins.
- We're a small team. If anything below is unclear, email legal@mupla.org and we'll do our best to explain it in plain language.
What you can and can't do here
The few rules that keep the site safe and useful for everyone.
Use the site respectfully
You may use this site for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to attempt to disrupt or compromise the security of the site, use it to harass or threaten others, or scrape, mirror, or reproduce its content without permission.
Submit honest information
When you fill out a form, contact, newsletter, event registration, please submit accurate information. Submitting false or misleading information through our forms is grounds for restricting your access.
Share what you learn
All content here is owned by the mupla foundation or used with permission. You're welcome to share and link to anything on this site. Reproducing our content for commercial purposes needs written permission, email legal@mupla.org.
Intellectual property
All content on this site, text, images, design, code, is owned by the mupla foundation or used with permission. You may share and link to our content freely. You may not reproduce it for commercial purposes without written permission.
Community-submitted content (testimonials, event photos with consent) remains the property of the original creators, used here with their permission.
Donations and payments
All donations are final. If you believe a donation was made in error, email us at finance@mupla.org within 30 days and we will work with you to resolve it. Tax-deduction receipts are issued for all eligible donations.
We do not store your payment card information. All payment processing is handled by our payment processor (currently Stripe) under their own security and privacy practices.
User-submitted content
When you submit content through our forms (contact, newsletter, event registration), you grant us a non-exclusive license to use that content for the purpose of responding to your message and operating our programs. We will not publish your submissions publicly without your explicit permission.
Disclaimers
This site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. While we work to keep information accurate and up to date, we cannot guarantee that all content is current or error-free.
Information on this site is for general educational purposes. It is not a substitute for professional advice (legal, financial, medical, or religious). For specific guidance on religious matters, please consult a qualified scholar in your community.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the date at the top and, for significant changes, notify subscribers by email. The current version is always the one published on this page.
